The Route of Pisco in Chincha
for wine aficionados
Following the route of pisco, the legendary Peruvian grape brandy that enlivens pisco sours – the national drink of Peru – and other cocktails, is one of the southern desert coast’s most emblematic experiences. This visit takes us to several of the region’s historic wineries, including Grimaldi, El Tabernero and Viñas de Oro. In each we will be able to appreciate the elaboration of – and of course taste – pisco and Peruvian table wines.
Included: round-trip private transportation and transfers, all entrance tickets and bilingual guide.
Peru’s renowned Ballestas Islands are a cornucopia of concentrated marine and bird life and pristine coastal habitats, akin to Peru’s version of the Galapagos Islands. This essential tour takes in the panoramic views of Paracas Bay and the enigmatic hillside sand carving El Candelabro (pre-Inca and similar to the Nasca Lines). On a boating tour of the islands, we will observe sea lions, seals, and penguins, as well as the rock formations integral to the islands and home to their abundant bird populations.
Included: round-trip private transportation from Chincha, Ballestas Islands tour tickets and bilingual (Spanish/English) guide on-board.
