Remote Isla Suasi, in the northeastern extreme of Lake Titicaca, is reachable in about 3 hours by fast lancha (motorized speedboat), which leaves directly from the private pier of Casa Andina Private Collection - Puno. Visitors stop en route at the unique Uros Floating Islands and then enjoy a singular cultural experience visiting the traditional Alsuno community of weavers on Taquile Island, before venturing on to Suasi – arriving just in time for a barbecue lunch.

Suasi, though far from Puno, is just 1 km. (0.6 mi) from the mainland in the northeastern extreme of the lake. Guests with their own vehicles (preferably 4x4) can also drive to the town of Cambria and leave the vehicle there, to be picked up at the dock and transported to Suasi by the lodge’s Zodiac (dinghy).

Most guests return from Suasi by land, along a spectacularly scenic but rustic road (167 km/98 mi, about 2.5 hours) that hugs the banks of Lake Titicaca, and either head back to Puno or directly to the airport in Juliaca. Round-trip travel by boat can be arranged, though such an option is considerably more expensive. Casa Andina makes all transportation arrangements (for additional information about transportation to Isla Suasi, contact Casa Andina at travel@casa-andina.com.)

We strongly recommend using our Fixed Departures for accessing Suasi.
